Albion Online Overview: The Main Innovations Of The Hector Update
Sandbox Interactive announces the latest major update before the official launch of Albion Online. "Hector" will be available on June 7, 2017 and will add numerous new features to the Sandbox MMORPG and rework existing ones. So not only the Hellgates and the Outlands are changed, the update adds to the game also the Black Market. Also new riding animals, a tutorial and numerous other optimizations are brought into the game with "Hector". As the last major update before the launch, "Hector" is a release version of Albion Online. The Sandbox Interactive team is now working on optimizing and eliminating bugs for the coming weeks until the start on 17 July 2017.
The main innovations of the Hector update in the overview:
Black Market
The Black Market trader is a new non-player character in Caerleon. But he is not an ordinary NPC with unlimited needs. The amount of goods he is willing to buy is directly affected by the number of monsters killed in the entire world by Albion. Equipment purchased from him lands through mobs and chests of Albion. So that all items are still made in the game of players.
New Hellgates
These zones, especially designed for PvP battles, are already an extremely popular element among the players. The revised goals contain a completely new map layout, three different difficulty levels of the Hellgates as well as various improvements to the underlying game mechanics.
Improvements In The Outlands
Already with the last update "Galahad" the Outlands were fundamentally changed. With "Hector" they are to be further improved. For example, all harbors and black zone cities are removed from the black zones. Instead, there is now a portal in Caerleon linking the city with the different areas of the Outlands. The distribution of resources in the outlands is also adjusted.
Watchtower Territories In The Outlands
The watchtower territories within the Outlands are upgraded to make them more attractive to the players. Better resources spawn at the beginning of the respective prime time of the area. In addition, the watchtowers will be the only areas in Albion where Tier 8 resources are available.
New Mounts
Several new equine animals come into play, including a number of factional groups for the undead; The disciples of Undead, Morgana and Keeper faction. You can now drop materials for a mount of Tier 5 and Tier 8. In addition, the players now have the small chance of Giant Stags (Tier 4) and Ancient Mammoths (Tier 8) to capture a Fawn or Mammoth Calf. These can then be applied to the Giant Stag and Transport Mammoth mount.
The Tutorial
The entry into the game should be easier for newcomers. With the revised tutorial, the players also get training opportunities beyond the beginner island. So there are Expeditions Masters forces in the beginner island, where the beginning players can complete corresponding series of missions. As a reward, a Tier 2 cape and mount!
User Interface Updates
The User Interface is another element where changes are made. The revision of the Destiny Board UI makes the crucial UI elements more readable and user-friendly. Also the presentation of the health bar display and guild management UI is revised.
Changes In Open World PVE
A new, medium-sized mobcamp at most solo dungeons now brings more variety and open-world gameplay to Albion. Many of these mobcamps are completely redesigned. Also, the maps with a group dungeon are replaced by new ones, and each now receives a very large bearing with a dungeon in the middle.
Armor Visual Rework
The different armor sets in Albion Online will be optically revised for the Hector update. The changes are rather inconspicuous, but serve to make the armor easier to recognize.
Other Changes And Bug Fixes
A lot of small changes and bug fixes come naturally also with "Hector" into the game.
The Hector update will be activated on June 7, 2017, the launch of the game is scheduled for July 17, 2017. All details about the update can be found at www.upalbion.com!
